Cookies For Kids' Cancer
Created to raise awareness of, and funds for, pediatric cancer research. But it all started with a kid fighting cancer and his parent’s desire to help him and others. When 2-year-old Liam was diagnosed with a deadly form of pediatric cancer called Neuroblastoma, his family learned quickly it is a cancer that only about 30% of children survive. They were shocked to hear the reason for such terrible odds was directly related to how little money was being spent on research by both the government and the pharmaceutical industry. Pediatric cancer is the leading cause of death by disease for children under the age of 18. Get involved. Hold a local bake sale – help us find a cure…

My Friend Zach
A little girl copes as her friend has to go away for cancer treatment.  My Friend Zach is an endearing story of friendship and hope. Proceeds from the sales of this book will benefit Band of Parents.
Debra Ortiz-Pardi is the author and recently told us that the book was inspired by her daughter's friendship with Zach Charlebois, NB patient.  Their families have become good friends over the past couple of years and this is a small way for her to help them fight back against neuroblastoma!

Paddling For a Cure 2
The adventure is on!  Last year, Karen Hohertz-Jacobs and Mary Ellen, mom and aunt to Neuroblasotma survivor, Kate Jacobs, took on the rapids of the Colorado River in honor of our children to raise money for the Band of Parents. They were very brave and raised over $14,000 for our children. This year, on July 19th, they are at it again.  This time they have two more brave women joining them for the ride. The goal this year is $30,000 and already they have raised over $23,000!! What a fabulous start to a tremendous journey and a fantastic experience to boot. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. Let's get the word out and reach that goal! For donations and more information, go to the website.

Friends of Lauren
In just twelve short days, an idea was put into reality to show support for NB warrior Lauren Maziarz. The River Reserve Clubhouse in Piedmont, SC hosted a Memorial Day fundraiser put on by Lauren's pre-school playgroup and volunteers. The original idea of a simple lemonade stand quickly grew into a silent auction, bake sale, face painting and big hand print banner for Lauren. The event raised over $12,000!! This is an inspiration proving that it doesn't always need to take months to plan a successful fundraiser. Thanks to all who contributed!

Paddling For a Cure
Karen and Maryellen (mom and aunt to Neuroblastoma Survivor Kate Jacobs) paddled the entire length of the Grand Canyon over two weeks’ time. They slept on the shore of the Colorado River at night and rafted it by day. It was a wonderful adventure as they went two weeks without their kids – or a shower! They crossed more than 100 rapids, including the wildest navigable river water in all of North America. They called this adventure “PADDLING FOR A CURE!” and they did it to fund the development of a new treatment for Neuroblastoma.

Rock’n For a Cure
The night was magic as young and old danced, laughed and celebrated life. The Hubcaps Oldies Show and Dance proved to be an evening of community, of celebration and of fun. Children with Neuroblastoma danced and played alongside those without disease. For a few magical hours they were no different than anyone else. The strength and support of having several families banding together was what truly made the event a moving and meaningful experience. The money raised tops $55,000.00. It will go directly to the BOP fund established at MSKCC to move new treatments forward in hopes these kids and many others will dance alongside their friends for years to come. Thank you all for your generous support of this event.
