DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday\, April 26th\, Band of Parents supporters came tog
 ether at Marquee to help make the 2017 Evening of Hope the most successful
  gala in Band of Parents history. Donations totaled nearly $265\,000. Beca
 use of that incredible generosity\, Band of Parents could continue its mis
 sion: to fund a cure for neuroblastoma\, using less toxic\, targeted treat
 ments. They were thrilled to honor Dr. Nai-Kong V. Cheung\, Head of the Ne
 uroblastoma Program and Enit A. Haupt Chair in Pediatric Oncology at Memor
 ial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center\, for his groundbreaking research in neu
 roblastoma. Pediatric oncologist Dr. Kim Kramer of Sloan Kettering receive
 d the Jerome Tepperberg Award. They encouraged others to help expand this 
 great event in 2018! There were many ways to help – such as spreading th
 e word about Band of Parents to potential corporate sponsors\, or chasing 
 hot ticket items for the silent auction.
