Monthly Moment of Hope
“What is our purpose on earth, if not to embrace one another through hardship and help lighten the burdens that challenge our faith and fortitude?”
Caryn Franca – “Lessons From My Son’s Tattoo”
Dear families-
A simple act like sharing a children’s valentine can bring a smile and a feeling of connection. We always strive to keep that connection with our members and to spread the love and hope with our communities of friends and family.
Here is our annual special way to connect! We always provide an opportunity for you to connect with us in person or on the phone and listen to our team of doctors share updates. Here are the details for the upcoming meeting!
YOU ARE INVITED: Please join us for the Band of Parents annual meeting with the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center neuroblastoma team.
WHAT: A unique opportunity to hear about the latest research and upcoming trials. There will also be a chance to ask the doctors any general questions you may have.
WHEN: TBD
WHERE: Zuckerman Research Center, 417 East 68th St., New York, NY 10065, Room ZRC-105
TIME: 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM
You must be a member to attend, remote access is also available. TO RSVP OR FOR MORE INFORMATION: please contact Priscilla Ma, priscilla@bandofparents.org.
Another way to stay connected is to introduce ourselves to our newest members. Last month we had two new families join Band of Parents. Do you live near them? Do you know anyone who does? Reach out, send some love.
  • Etoni Tonga, son Tu’i, Palo Alto, CA
  • Tameka Melville, son Nixon, Australia
Fundraising made easy!
We are a community-fueled organization! We have grown to where we are because of the beautiful gestures of our families and their communities of support. This year we have two opportunities for you to engage with our Band of Parents family to help raise the funds needed for the projects we currently are funding and for those in the future!
The first one is a simple fundraising tool kit, found on our website: https://www.bandofparents.org/fundraise/
The second one is a simple way to celebrate your birthday, or your child’s birthday with an online fundraiser for Facebook, email, etc.: https://p2p.onecause.com/bopbirthday
We set up a sample page so you can see what it looks like. All you need to do is click on the Register button, use your email address to sign-up with a password and start inviting your friends and family to donate or share your page.
